People are wondering what we are doing for 12 months in France.......So here goes. We are caretaking a property on 68 acres in the Midi Pyrenees, it is a renovated timber barn, with a open plan loft for sleeping and a big downstairs area with a big combustion heater to keep us all warm and toasty, it is furnished, the grounds are half meadow half bush, with a vegie garden, the nearest village is 5 km away, or 15 min ride on a bike. It is our house on a hill, because it takes 45 min to ride home from the village! We are paying a small rent, 200 euro a month, and looking after the land and house. Sam has a EU Passport, so he can work, doing carpentry or whatever comes along, and myself and the children are able to get residency beacause sam has an EU passport. So I will be Mothering and Gardening, much like what i do here, but also learning a new language and meeting interesting people. Sams Mother was born in France, and we thought why the children are at a good age, we will do it, we are all ready to embrace a new challenge and cant wait!!!
