The snow is still on the ground with cloud cover, so very cold outside! Lots of layers of clothes, thermals, woollen vest, gloves, scarves, beanie, padded jacket, two pairs of socks.
Yesterday whilst walking around the market, it got so cold, it was hard to talk and difficult to get money out of your purse....so we decided to visit a friend and have some lunch, we arrived at a beautiful old stone house, with smoke billowing out of the chimney, beckoning us inside to the warmth. Inside we were greeted by a cosy room, with a warm fire and a big table filled with cheese, bread, butter and the smell of hot soup! Our cold feet and noses were soon warm with food and laughter amongst the women and young children.
A day out of the home was refreshing and I was looking forward to being home to be with my family, to make dinner whilst my children played with some new toys bought from the second hand shop, some lego and a wooden Noahs Ark. Sam also enjoyed his day with the children, reading books, singing songs and eating together, yummy salami, tasty cheeses and fresh bread...............

Your life in france sounds perfect to us here, and whilst i know there will still be sighs sometimes I hope you enjoy every amazing minute for what it is.
