No one seems to be stressed or in a hurry around here....some people work just friday and Monday, one tradesman we met only works 4 days a week, another family work for 6 months in England and renovate a house here for the rest of the year. There does not seem to be the regular 5 day week working from 8-5 like in Australia, with drinks at the pub on fri to finish the week! Theres drinks everyday here! It is definately a slower way to live, with more time to spend with family and friends or renovating, which everyone is doing something to their property.
The tractors are out plowing the field, then slowly go back up the hill to there sheds, at any time of the day. There is so much slow traffic going on, the children enjoy watching the coming and going of the locals, and today two horses trotted past pulling a wagon with a few people in it....it was wonderful. We spent the afternoon riding our bikes along the lane, feeding a few horses, and having a snowball fight with some leftover snow lying around, and we all got a bit sunburnt, so the weather is warming up nicely.............
The slower pace of life sounds very dreamy, I find myself unconsciously relaxing and imagining sounds whilst looking at the pictures. Beautiful!
