Walking outside this morning to let our chickens out for the day, I turned around and was greeted by a beautiful rainbow arching over our house...was majestic with the warm glow of the morning sun..........we headed out to a Christmas market put on by the Steiner school, and enjoyed craft activities making woollen angels to hang off sticks, pine cones covered in seeds for the birds, and decorating gingerbread men...on our way home we passed a lady moving her goats to another field, they all had bells on, and were frolicking in the sunshine, around the next corner were a pair of elusive wild boar scampering off into the forest......in the coldness of the afternoon the children built a small fire and delighted in adding twigs and pine cones and warmed their hands by the orange flame...the nights are still and cold with the only noise being the owls calling to each other off in the distance.............
