It is Dimanche-Sunday again, it comes around so quickly, I think I would call it the start of our week, as it is a big socialising day, and the week ahead is often booked for play dates or shared dinners, or for Sam, some work....
Today we were helping on the school stall, selling gateaux and drinks, and it was so busy! From 930-2, was endless chatter, washing and drying, making coffee and mint tea, smiling...and ducking out every now and then to wander the market at leisure, and watch my children come and go with confidence, interacting with all sorts of people. They always love the bike trailer rides around the village for 50 cents, and have a little purse each with one euro, to pay for their rides. Ruben also enjoys climbing into this wonderfully made wooden cradle and closing his eyes for a moment of contentment, oblivious to the hustle and bustle around him. We enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner with our neighbours of a colourful coleslaw, a lush green salad, creamy potato salad, and a leek, mozzarella, sun dried tomato and pesto tart..followed by melon sorbet and a few glasses of wine..a wonderful way to finish off a full day.
What a wonderful day!
