Inspired again.....

A short drive from our house, amongst shady lanes, and fern fringed creeks, was the "Round House"....some friends lived there, with there 2 young children, and we had been invited for dinner. This house had been built in 8 weeks..and sat nestled into the side of the hill, looking out to limestone cliffs and woodland...we loved the organic shapes, all the wood, and the comforting feeling the house had.

The children played so well together, and were running around the grapevines, playing in the tepee, or swimming in the refreshing pool...much to the delight of the parents who were able to have some uninterrupted talks of our lives and how we all ended up in this part of the world.

We hungrily ate freshly made hummus with carrot, cauliflower and capsicum, then followed by homemade tomato soup sprinkled with fresh basil from the garden....after a few wines..we got a fire going to have a BBQ, and cooked up sardines, chicken and sausages...all sitting around the table again we dined again on potato salad with freshly cut up chives and parsley, and lots of cherry tomatoes and lettuce from the garden......it was a lovely sunset over the cliffs, the children played hide and seek in the dark, with lots of laughter....we then dined on chocolate mousse, before all sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows...what a feast and such wonderful company.
