We spent the afternoon cleaning out the shed, whilst the children kept amused with some pipe, water and corks....so simple...an hour was enough, with tiredness now upon them, we retreated inside for a cuddle and a book on the couch.....whilst the tired but cheerful Mum made a bowl full of fresh lettuce, rosy red tomatoes, and thin strips of sweet smelling basil alongside hard boiled eggs, and fresh crusty bread lathered in butter...all feeling pretty healthy at the moment, must be the fresh produce from our garden.
When children are left to their own creativity and imagination, the lessons they teach are invaluable. Would you rather your teacher explain gravity, or would you rather discover it, truly experiment with its properties, on your own? How delightful to see your children learning while having fun at play. Afterall, a child's job is to play, the classroom is their playground.
