We have been so blessed with warm weather the last week, but still cool enough to sleep at night. Our days have been filled with dropping Stella to school, and Sam to work, with walks or drives in between to lovely places, then picking Stella and Sam up and home for big feasts with friends. Our nights have been full of big chats about the world, or watching movies under the stars, with the usual accessory, a glass of red wine. It has been so lovely having visitors share our home, and laugh and smile with us as we go about our day to day activities.
We visited a small village just over the hill today that was having an agricultural fete. There were many old diesel tractors, cows, horses, chickens and geese, a gingerbread and nougat stall with big chunks that you buy by the kilo, with yummy tastings, even chocolate gingerbread!! We had lots of fun, with the highlight being when all the tractors started a loud procession up the street.
Our days are carefree and happy at the moment, with the occasional challenging moments with children or husband, which sometimes a deep sigh is all that is needed, and occasionally a big walk away from it all keeps the day balanced...Ruben is definitely loving having the toys and his Mother to himself, and Stella is embracing school with a big smile, Sam is enjoying lots of work with positive feedback from clients, and the Mum is just happy that everyone else in the family is contented!
