A little girl turns 6.......

Stella turned 6 today and woke with gusto, to a beautiful sunny day. Had pancakes for breakfast, and opened some lovely presents. We then packed the car, and went for a daytrip to the mountains to find a natural thermal spring.

The scenery was amazing, many little villages with flowing rivers from the last melting snow, huge mountains, lush green valleys and beauty all around, including some gorgeous men and women!!

We located the area for the springs, but were a bit sketchy of there whereabouts...we headed up through a lovely forest path for about 15 min, but no spring....back down again for directions and lunch......then up the other side of the valley, we found a warm spring surrounded by limestone rocks, at a temp of 27 degrees! It was wonderful.

I made the most wonderful apple spice cake for Stella..unfortunately I could only find 2 candles, and Sam said there will be tears!! But I winged it, and promoted my 6 purple flowers, reminds me of 6 years of happiness with Stella, and she loved it...did not even mention candles!! A friend told me to always decorate cakes with the flowers of the season...she would of been proud.

A wonderful family day out...sunshine, laughs, smiles and love...what more could you ask for?
