Well today was the day to buy tomotoes at the market, a lady has 250 types of tomotoes, she only grows tomotoes and runs courses on anything to do with tomotoes! So Sam chose 8 different types with some basil to grow inbetween, i had already put mine in....which i got told might be too early...but have protected them with some roof tiles, an idea i borrowed off a farmer down the road. Apparently there is snow on the way, or a severe frost, so protection is needed for all seedlings. A friend goes down to her vegie garden each night and puts terracotta pots over her seedlings..must be good for the plant to be loved and nurtured so much. Have had little mounds of dirt appearing in my vegie garden, and also on the lawn, they are mole breathing holes! They are not seen very much, and have no predators, but die from exhaustion from digging so much..and are very cute!
